I was brought up 90% Primal/Paleo back in the days when I didn’t even know it had a name. When I got married, my diet changed as my husband came from a “traditional” meat and potatoes family who appreciated their alcohol.

The weight started packing on, my energy level plummeted and it affected my mood. That is when I started respecting what food can really do.

We have a tougher time now because a lot of what is available is more appropriately described as ‘frankenfood”. And it’s effect on our biochemistry is downright scary.

I’m happy to be in a profession where I can take time to consul people on nervous system integrity, wellness and life balance. We need to make conscious decisions now more than ever.

My focus as a Chiropractor is to maximize our brain body connection so that our systems are fully powered inside. This gives us the best possible environment to assimilate and integrate proper lifestyle habits.

The Primal/Paleo lifestyle is a powerful tool, when used property, can gain us optimal health and function. The biggest challenge I see is undoing the imprinting that has occurred to all of us with respect to what food is anymore.

As our lives have gotten busier, we have blindly trusted what is being sold to us as “helpful” and assuming it has been done with health and integrity in mind.

Unfortunately most people don’t know what optimal food, nutritional and physical requirements are. We cannot be at our strongest and fight with our best when we aren’t fuelling or moving properly. A staggering number of people are drugging themselves with what they think is food and overdoing things with cardio and do not know it.
