Dr. Jana Hagen brings more than a decade of knowledge and experience in Naturopathic Medicine and Clinical Laboratory Medicine to her family medicine practice as a naturopathic physician at the University Health Clinic in Seattle.
Dr. Jana Hagen, Seattle, Naturopath, Primary Care, Addition Medicine, Relapse Prevention, Weight Loss, Depression, Anxiety, Natural Treatment. She is also Adjunct Faculty at Bastyr University, and has taught courses on Clinical Laboratory Medicine, Addictions & Disorders and Nutrition & Mental Health to medical and graduate students.
Dr. Hagen’s practice is patient-centered; she takes the time to listen to what you have to say about your needs and goals. She believes that the best outcomes occur when you have a voice and a choice in your healthcare.
Her philosophy regarding health, healing and the practice of naturopathic medicine is founded in two fundamental principles of connection and prevention:
Everything within the body specific and the world are interconnected. Any actions within one body system are communicated in various ways to the other systems, both internal and external.
Prevention is the purest method of primary healthcare. Prevention is a proactive, rather than reactive process, in which Dr. Hagen and the patient work together to restore and maintain optimum function of the whole person.
When illness does occur, Dr. Hagen combines the modern technology of laboratory medicine with the time-tested modalities of natural medicine to discover the cause and provide effective treatment for conditions ranging from allergies and anxiety to sinusitis and warts, and everything in between. Rest, food, water, and movement are also integrated into every treatment plan as fundamentals of health.
She is also a board member and consulting physician for the World Forgiveness Initiative, a non-profit organization committed to the global experience of the freedom, power and joy sourced in forgiveness.
