Dr. Maura Henninger, ND

Dr. Maura is a licensed and board-certified naturopathic physician who offers natural health options for everyday health concerns. She believes that each person is unique and treats patients with the utmost care and compassion, working with each to create a personalized treatment plan that will include a combination of supple­­ment­­ation, detoxification, lifestyle recommendations and methods to optimize the mind-body connection. Dr. Maura loves educating her patients and is committed to ensuring that each patient fully understands his or her treatment plan. She also thinks that the key to optimal health lies in the fusion of conventional and holistic medicine and works closely with MDs and other health professionals to ensure a patient’s greatest success.

Background

A graduate of Dartmouth College, she worked for several years as a magazine editor before following her passion for holistic healing to University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine. After completing four years of study, 1200+ hours of in-residence clinical training, and a medical internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport, she earned her doctoral degree in naturopathic medicine. She is currently pursuing additional training at The New England School of Homeopathy and continues to write and blog extensively on medical subjects.
