Essential Health & Wellness

Born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina, it does not surprise many that Dr. William Haas has established himself as a thought leader in the fields of Integrative and Functional Medicine. Not afraid of breaking the mold, Dr. Haas earned both his medical and business degrees from East Carolina University, one of the nation’s top primary-care training programs. He is board-certified in family medicine and attended the University of Arizona for his Integrative Medicine fellowship, where he later served on faculty. In addition to his Integrative Medicine training, Dr. Haas is a candidate for certification with the Institute for Functional Medicine.

Currently, Dr. Haas practices Integrative Medicine and serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Essential Health & Wellness. Additionally, he operates as the Vice President for Clinical Services at Essential Health Solutions, a healthcare IT company.

Prior to his career as a physician, Dr. Haas worked as strength coach and personal-trainer, holding the highest certification with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Previously an avid triathlete, Dr. Haas now enjoys competing in kettlebell sport events and has represent the United States at several national and world competitions. Fitness and nutrition remain central to both his personal and professional practice.
