Cortney Chaite Coaching
I am a holistic health coach supporting people who are ready to make the transition to a paleo/primal lifestyle in a fun and engaging way. We will assess your current eating habits and make step-by-step changes to help bring you back to optimal health!
I work with people all over the world from my home office.
I am passionate about helping people create lasting, positive changes in their lives. We will work together to uncover negative patterns and destructive habits that might be keeping you from reaching your health and happiness potential. In the process, we'll "rewire" you with habits that will create positive and lasting change!
I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
My wake-up call came when I realized that over the course of a few months, I had called a friend at least 5 times, asking her to pick up my son from school. It wasn’t that I was too busy - at the time, I was a stay-at-home mom. It might sound unbelievable, but I was so fatigued, that I couldn’t make the trip. I was 35 at the time.
I had become so accustomed to feeling tired - all the time - that I began to accept exhaustion as my normal state of being. In addition to fatigue, I was having frequent headaches, digestive problems (I won’t go into detail here...), chronic back pain, anxiety and depression. It finally occurred to me that I was missing out on key moments of my life, and frankly, I was way too young to feel so old!
So, I decided to do something about it.
I started making changes, and I decided to work with people who could support me in the process. As I started changing my lifestyle, my emotional attachment to food became more and more apparent - and I was certainly not attached to broccoli! Since having children, I was caught on the yo-yo diet roller-coaster. I come from a family of people who love to eat, so I had a lot of history to undo. By uncovering food sensitivities, as well as imbalances in my personal and professional life, I have been able to shed unwanted weight (and keep it off!), rid myself of chronic digestive trouble, minimize my anxiety and depression, and create lasting energy. The benefits of taking the time to care for myself are difficult to express. I feel gratitude everyday that I am now fully present and awake in the lives of my children and my husband. I exercise regularly and I eat in a way that makes me feel nourished and complete. I love food again in a healthy way.
These changes have been so profound that I have since made a commitment to dedicate my professional life to support others in making changes of their own.
