I have been working with clients for 30 years through Personal and Private Chef Services, Cooking Classes, Nutrition Coaching and seminars on Health and Happiness and through Television shows on Public TV. I am the author of 2 books; Optimum Nutrition and a cookbook, called "Optimum Nutrition- In the Kitchen with Millie Barnes". I presently offer Nutrition Coaching a line of luscious gluten and dairy free desserts, Nutrition Coaching and Seminars on Nutrition and It's Link To Happiness.

Background

I began the study of nutrition at age 19 in attempt to find out why I was chronically ill from birth. Finally, at age 36 I completely healed from spastic colitis, hearing loss from chronic ear infections, arthritis, depression, systemic yeast, colds and sinus infections, bronchitis, low energy and allergies. I had tried, and studied, most types of nutrition; vegan, vegetarian, Macrobiotic, standard American...all with improvements in health but not total wellness. The only type of nutrition I felt much worse on was the grain based Macrobiotic diet. I healed completely, am now 58 and in perfect health. I have been teaching others to heal through nutrition coaching and my Chef services for 30 years. I am the author of The Criterion Diet- a 30 day guide to healing with menus and recipes. I think America's reliance on a low fat diet has caused the obesity issue we have and our over-consumption of grains, and all carbs, has led to impaired immune systems and many other diseases that are caused by undernourishment.
